In order for your qualified charitable organization to begin collecting funds through text messaging services, you must meet certain criteria established by the The Mobile Giving Foundation and the cell phone carriers. We will help you through every step of the process.
Step 1:
Get Approved Each campaign must adhere to the Mobile Giving Foundation rules. We will help you through the application process and work as your advocate. Once your application is completed and approved, your campaign is ready to go. Step 2: Design Campaign Design the campaign to reach potential donors. Select the keyword(s) and the message you want to give potential donors. We have some marketing templates for you to use. Communicate through signage, brochures, speeches or however you choose. Everyone in your venue, at your event or on your mailing list becomes a potential donor. Step 3: Donors text in Give your potential donors a designated code to text in using their cell phone. They will be asked to confirm their donation of either $5 or $10 amount. It’s as simple as that. Step 4:
Carriers Bills + Collect Donor pledges will be billed through their monthly cell phone bill. When the bill is paid to their telephone company the funds are forwarded to the Mobile Giving Foundation, who will then send them to you. Tithe by Cell never comes in contact with the funds. Step 5:
Follow-up requests We will send a follow-up ‘thank you’ text to your donors. You can ask donors if they would like to donate again (e.g. set up a monthly donation request.) You can have additional messages sent throughout the month. Step 6:
See Results You can monitor the success of your campaign on our website, where your daily results are posted. Check the results, learn what is working, and identify your donors. Of course, our customer service is at your disposal seven days a week |
